Managed Growth
Ada
has experienced tremendous growth over the last
10 years. Developments like Ada Moorings,
Clements Mill and West Village have changed the
face of our once sleepy community.
 The
Ada Township Planning Commission has worked hard
to make sure that our current Master Plan helps
us manage future growth throughout the township.
Together with the Ada Village
Charrette Task Force and the Form-based Code
Committee, both of which I am a member of, they
have also been working to create a new set of
form-based code to regulate development in
the Ada Village area.
I believe the Township must continue to
aggressively manage growth and seek a balance
between new development, the preservation of
open space and the needs of both our residents
and business. We should always be willing to
explore new opportunities to enhance our
community's use of space and build a
people-friendly community, by enacting Zoning
that promotes "New
Urbanism" and appropriate land use.
