Open Space, Parks & Trails
Our
open spaces, parks and trails, along with our
rivers, lakes, ponds and streams are tremendous
assets for our community! People I speak
with tell me how much they enjoy these resources
and that they support the Township's plans to
expand and promote the
trail system as well as other outdoor
recreational opportunities.
Statistics
show that these types of resources not
only provide us with healthy and enjoyable ways
to spend time with our family and friends,
they also have a tremendous positive impact
on community property values! Business
also benefits, as they have the potential to
bring in significant revenue from those living
outside our community.
I
am proud to serve as a member of the Trails
Committee and look forward to working towards
the completion of
Phase II of our trail expansion.
Making sure our trail system provides a
Safe Route To School, is one of my top
priorities.
Ensuring equal access to our open space, park
and trail resources is also very important.
I will continue to lobby for a community park,
located between Ada Drive and the Central
Woodlands 5/6 school, that would provide the
children and adults living in Adacroft Commons,
Ada Town, Ada Woods, Clements Mill and Paradise
Lake, with a safe and accessible park, close to
where they live.
